Today I am getting ready to attend a meeting of the IMA which I am co-hosting in Milton Keynes. The Independent Midwives Association was founded by a group of independent midwives in July 1985. The Association exists for the dissemination of information about, and support for, independent midwives, and to lobby for the traditional role of the midwife. These aims are supported in the following ways:

The meeting is a general business meeting followed by a clinical meeting whereby members have an opportunity to (confidentially) review any interesting cases in order to share information and skills. Today I have also organised an equipment check to take place whilst we are meeting.
